HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-06-21; City Council; 1201; CMC 2.44.025 amend - Personnel Board appts. revision1 3 4 5 6 7 e 9 IC 11 19 2c 21 22 2: 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 1201 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2.44 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE, BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2.44.025 AND BY THE DELETION OF SECTION 2.44.026 TO REVISE PROCEDURES FOR APPOINTPENT 'TO THE PERSONNEL BOARD. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California does xdain as follows: SECTION 1: Chapter 2.44 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is 3mended by the amendment of Section 2.44-025 to read as follows: "2.44.025 Personnel Board. There is created a Personnel Board to consist of five members, to be appointed by the Mayor, sith the approval of the City Council. sppointed shall, at its first meeting, so classify its members ~y lot, that one shall serve for a term to expire on June 30, 1976; me shall serve for a term to expire June 30, 1977; one shall serve for a term to expire June 30, 1978; and two shall serve for a term to expire June 30, 1979. The Personnel Board shall adopt rules of procedure and shall select a chairman from its members, who shall act as presiding officer.
