ORDINANCE NO. 8082
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
TITLE 18 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE
BY THE ADDITION OF CHAPTER 18.18, TO
ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE 1976 EDITION OF
THE UNIFORM SOLAR ENERGY CODE SUBJECT TO
CERTAIN CHANGES, ADDITIONS AND AMENDP'IENTS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad., California, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 18 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is
amended by the addition of Chapter 18.18 to read as follows:
"Chapter 18.18
UNIFORM SOLAR ENERGY CODE
Sections :
18.18.010
18.18.020 Building official designated.
18.18.030 Violations.
Adoption of Uniform Solar Energy Code.
18.18.010 Adoption of Uniform Solar Energy Code. The
Uniform Solar Energy Code, 1976 Edition, copyrighted by the
international Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials
is hereby adopted by reference as the City of Carlsbad Solar Energq
Code.
18.18.020 Building official designated. The Director of
Building and Housing of the City of Carlsbad is designated as the Administrative Authority as mentioned in the Uniform Solar Energy
Code and is designated as the person who shall enforce all of the
provisions of that code.
18.18.030 Violations. Any person or corporation who
violates any provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor I'
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirtl
days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least
once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption
an adjourned
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at / regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 8th day of March , 1978,

PASSED AND ADOPTED at Jregular meeting of said City
Council held on the14thday of March , 1978, by the following
vote, to wit:
