HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-01-16; City Council; 3111; CMC 10.56.060-.100 amend - Bicycles license fees & regs8 1 L .j 4 C c E s E s 1c 11 12 19 20 21 ' 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 31 11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.56 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTIONS 10.56.060 TIIROUGH 10.56.100 INCLUSIVE, TO REVISE THE REGULATIONS AND FEES FOR LICENSING BICYCLES. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does xcdain as follows: SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.56, of the Carlsbad Nunicipal Code is amended by the amendment of Sections 10.56.060 md 10.56.070 to read as follows: "10.56.060 Application--term. The City Manager is authorized snd directed to register and license bicycles in the City. 2ity Manager or his designated representative shall be the licensing agent for purposes of this chapter. A license shall De issued upon proper written application for a three year term. Bicycle licenses shall be renewed uniformly throughout the City 3n January 1 of the third year following the year of registration, to begin January 1, 1979. The license, when issued, shall entitle the licensee to operate the licensed bicycle within the City 2s permitted by law. The 10.56.070 Fees. SECTION 2: That Title 10, Chapter 10.56, of the Carlsbad iilunicipal Code is amended by the amendment of Sections 10.56.080, 10.56.090 and 10.56.100 to delete the words "fire chief" wherever they appear and replace them with the words "licensing agent." EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty lays after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the idoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least e mce in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption.
