HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-05-15; City Council; 9523; CMC 21.41.075(a) amend - Signs in planned industrial/office parks1 2 3 4 5 6 7 E s 1c 11 1; n 6 11 21 2: 2, 2 2 2 2 2 2 ORDINANCE NO. 9523 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 21, CHAPTER 21.41 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 21.41.075(a) TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL COMMUNITY IDENTIFYING AND FREESTANDING SIGNS IN CERTAIN PLANNED INDUSTRIAL OR OFFICE PARKS. (ZCA-107) The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does rdain as follows: SECTION 1: That Title 21, Chapter 21.41 of the Carlsbad unicipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 21.41.075(a) o read as follows: "(a) In addition to all other signs permitted by this hapter, property within the boundaries of a planned community, pecific plan or planned unit development may have a sign program hat provides for entrance, exit, directional and community dentity signs; provided, the sign program is approved as part If either the master plan for the planned community, specific llan, planned unit development or any amendments thereto. lanned industrial or office parks, that are not subject to lommunity plans, specific plans or planned unit development may ,ualify for community identity signs by conditional use permit f the site is over twenty-five acres in area. The aggregate ign area of all signs in a community identity sign program 'or any one development shall not exceed a total of one hundred ,quare feet, plus three square feetper acre of property within .he development. No individual sign in such program shall have .n area greater than one hundred fifty square feet, or exceed 'ifteen feet in height. Amendments to an approved community .dentity sign program may be granted by the planning commission .f it is determined such amendments are consistent with the iverall objectives of the plan." EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty lays after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to :he adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at .east once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after .ts adoption.
