AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2.44 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2.44.030 BY ADDING TITLES NECESSARY FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF CLASSIFICATION
PLAN CHANGES.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California des
irdain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 2, Chapter 2.44 of the Carlsbad
qunicipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 2.44.030 to
read as follows;
2pply to all offices, positions and employees in the service of
the City, except:
"2.44.030 City service. The provisions of this chapter shall
(1) Elective officers;
(2) Members of appointive boards, commissions and committees;
(3) Persons engaged under cant.zack,.to supply expert, professional or technical services for a definite period of time;
(4) Volunteer personnel who receive no regular compensation from the City;
(5) City Manager;
(6) Assistant City Manager; (7) Assistant to the City Manager;
(8) Administrative Assistants;
(9) Personnel Director; .. (10) Purchasing Officer;
(11) All department heads hired on or after November 1, 1975;
(12) Redeveiopment Program Manager;
(13) City Attorney;
(14) Assistant City Attorney;
(15) requirements of an emergency condition, such as extraordinary fire, flood or earthquake which threatens life or property;
as employees who are expected to or do work less than one thousand
forty hours in any one fiscal year."
This ordinance shall be effective thirty days
Emergency employees who are hired to meet the immediate
Employees, other than those half time, which is defined (16)
EFFECTIVE DATE:
after its adoption, and the City shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in the
Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption.

:ouncil held on the 7th day of August , 1979 and
:hereafter
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a meeting of said City
louncil held on the 21st day of Auqust , 1979, by the
following vote, to wit:
