HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-08-05; City Council; 3119; CMC 10.40.042 amend - Carlsbad Blvd. parking restrictionst + l* 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 3119 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.40 BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 10.40.042 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE PARKING RESTRICTIONS OF CERTAIN PARTS OF CARLSBAD BOULEVARD. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows: SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 10.40.042 to read as follows: “10.40.042 Parking restricted on certain parts of Carlsbad Boulevard. (a) Parking of vehicles is prohibited during all hours of the day and night on the westerly side of Carlsbad Boulevard: (1) Between Elm Avenue and Pine Avenue; (2) From 110’ south of Chestnut to Cherry Avenue; (3) From 160’ north of Redwood Avenue to 2,180’ south of Agua Hedionda Bridge (at exit of third beach parking lot); (4) From 600’ north of south city limits to south city 1 imi ts ; (5) Between Tierra del Oro and Shore Drive; (b) Parking of vehicles is prohibited during all hours of the day and night on the east side of Carlsbad Boulevard; (1) From 100’ north of Pine Avenue to 2,600’ north of Cannon Road; (2) From Cannon Road northerly for a distance of 2,300’. (c) Vehicles shall be parked off the paved roadway of Carlsbad Boulevard from 2,600 feet north of Cannon Road to Manzano Drive, unless parking is otherwise prohibited within this area. (d) The City Police Department is authorized to remove any such illegally parked vehicle. (e) Adequate signs and markings shall be erected to give adequate notice of the regulations stated in this section.” EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption. 1 I. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 IO 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 1E 19 2c 21 22 2: 24 2E 2E 27 2E INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the City Council held the 15tt-,day of July , 1980, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held the 5th day of August , 1980 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Packard, Casler, Anear and Kulchin NOES : None ABSENT: Council Member Lewis RONALD C.
