HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-03-03; City Council; 5058; CMC 6.02.010(e)/(f) amend/(k)-(m) add - Land dev. permits & fees1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 50 58 I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD , CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 6, CHAPTER 6.02, SECTION 6.02.010 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SUBSECTION (e) AND SUBSECTION (f), AND THE ADDITION OF SUBSECTION (k) , (1) AND (m) RELATIVE TO FEES CHARGED FOR VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION PERMITS AND LAND DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, does ordain I as follows: SECTION 1: Title 6, Chapter 6.02, Section 6.02.010 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Subsection (e) to read as follows: I "(e) Section 68.326 of the San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances, adopted by reference by this section is amended to read as follows: Sec. 68.326. Application for Permit - Fee, Any person desiring to install, construct, reconstruct, repair, or add to, a septic tank, settling tank, seepage pit, subsurface tile line system, or other subsurface sewage disposal unit or system, or any part thereof, shall file with the Director a written application for permit for such installation, construction, re- construction, repair or addition. A separate applica- tion and permit fior each installation shall be required The application shall be made upon the form prescribed and furnished'by the Director and shall be accompanied by an inspection fee set forth below. The application shall contain the following information and such other information as the Director may require: Street name and number of the premises where the installation is to be made; the name and address of the owner; the nane and address of the contractor who is to perform the work; the size and type of the septic tank, settling tank, cesspool or other sub- surface sewage disposal unit or system to be installed and the number of people it is to serve. by the Health Officer the application shall be include or be accompanied by a plan to diagram showing the character and:kind of installation to be made and the manner and location in which the work is to be done. Title 6, Chapter 6,02, Section 6.02.010 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Subsection (f) to read as follows: "(f) Section 68.333 of the San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances, adopted by reference by this section is amended to read as follows: Sec. 68.333 Reinspections - Fee. When an inspection has been ordered and the work is found to be not ready for inspection and approval, the Director shall cause an official notice to be posted on the job stating the changes necessary in order that the work will comply with thp requirements of this Chapter. As soon thereafter as practicable, the owner or contractor shall cause the changes to be made and upon completion thereof shall notify the department that the unit or system is ready for reinspection. reinspection is requested, the applicant shall pay to the department a reinspection fee. as practicable the Director shall make or cause a reinspection to be made. If upon reinspection the work is approved, a certificate to that effect shall be posted as here,inabove specified. The fee for that reinspection shall be $30.00, which fee shall be paid to the Director." Change of Location of Work by Supplementa Permit - Fee. A permitee to whom there has been issued pursuant to this chapter a permit for an installation to be made at a particular location may apply for a supplemental permit authorizing such work to be performed at a different location provided that no work has been commenced at the location specified in the original permit. The application for a supplemental permit shall be made on a form prescribed and furnished by the Director. On receipt of'such application and a fee of $5.00, the Director may issue a supplemental permit authorizing the -2- I 2 7 4 E c E 7 E S 1c II 12 12 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 performance of work at the substituted location. (1) Section 68.336 of the San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances adopted by reference by this Section is amended to read as follows: Sec. 68.336 Inspection of Existing Subsurface Disposal inspection of an existing septic tank, settling tank, cesspool, or other subsurface disposal system, or unit by the Director shall file with the Director a written request for such inspection accompanied by an inspection fee of $70.00; A separate request for each unit or system shall be required, and the request shall contain such information as the Director may require and shall be made upon a form prescribed and furnished by the Director. As soon after the request is made as is practical, the Director shall make or cause to be made the requested inspection and shall determine whether the inspected unit or system functions satisfactorily in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. In the event that the unit or system is found not to function satisfactorily, the Director shall on written request make or cause to be made a reinspection, and a fee for each such reinspection shall be $30.00 made payable to the Director in advance. Systems - Fee. Any person desiring for any reason, the (m) Section 68.328.1 of the San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances adopted by reference by this Section is amended to read as follows: Sec. 68.328.1 Fees Required for Percddation Tests and percolation test or septic tank system layout is Septic System Layout Review.
