ORDINANCE NO. 7069
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 13,
CHAPTER 13.04 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 13.04.050 (f)(14)
TO ESTABLISH LIMITS FOR DISCHARGE OF HEAVY METAL
TO THE CITY SEWER SYSTEM.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
does ordain that Title 13, Chapter 13.04 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section
13.04.050 (f)(14) to read as follows:
13.04.050 (f)(14) Water or wastes containing heavy
metals in excess of:
2.0 mg/l for a 24-hour composite sample, or
5.0 mg/l maximum for a grab sample.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be effective
thirty days after its adoption and the City Clerk shall
certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be
published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within
fifteen days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 28th day of
January , 1986, and thereafter.
