ORDINANCE NO. 1295
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER
2.08 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
ADDITION OF SECTION 2.08.100 TO AUTHORIZE THE
CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT DONATIONS IN AN AMOUNT
UP TO $500.00.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 2, Chapter 2.08 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the addition of Section
2.08.100 to read as follows:
"2.08.100. Delegation of Authority to Accept Donations.
The City Manaaer shall have authority on behalf of the City of
Carlsba2 to accept donations to the City in an amount or of a value of up to $500.00. The City Manager shall use the gift or
may sell it and use the proceeds in accordance with the donors intent. If there is no such intent the money shall be added to
the City's contingency account."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective
thirty days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at
least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its
adopt ion .
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council on the 16th day of June I

Council held on the 23rd day of June 1987 by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
