ORDINANCE NO. 3220
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION
10.44.260 TO ESTABLISH THE SPEED LIMIT ON EUREKA PLACE FROM CHESTNUT AVENUE TO BASSWOOD AVENUE.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44 of the
Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the addition of Section
10.44.260 to read as follows:
1110.44.260 Eureka Place: Upon Eureka Place from
Chestnut Avenue to its intersection with Basswood Avenue, the prima facie speed limit shall be twenty-five miles per hour."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective
thirty (30) days after its adoption and the City Clerk, City of
Carlsbad shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and
cause it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Journal
within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 18th day of August , 1987 and

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 1st day of September 1987,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
NOES : None
ABSENT : Council Member Lewis
