ORDINANCE NO. NS-14
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBm,
CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 13, CHAPTER 13.12 OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 13.12.020 TO ADJUST
SEWER SERVICE CHARGES.
4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does, from time to

time, establish sewer service fees to support the City's sewer maintenance
operations; and
7 KHEREAS, it has become necessary to assess a late charge of 10% on b
8 outstanding more than 30 days,
9 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
10 Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
11 SECTION 1: That Title 13, Chapter 13.12 of the Carlsbad Municipal C

is amended by the amendment of Section 13.12.020 to read as follows:
13.12.020 Sewer Service Charges Established. All persons whose prem
in the City are served by a connection to the City sewer system whereby se l4 or other waste material is disposed of through such system shall pay a sew

service charge as established by this section:

HONTHLY SEWER
SERVICE CHARGE
Car washes, wash racks, laundries and other
enterprises where water is the primary
commodity to carry on said business and $6.75 per EDU
said water is discharged into the sanitary 0.52 per each 100
sewer system cubic feet
Each enterprise where water is the primary
commodity to carry on said business and said 0.67 x (180 +
water characteristics exceed the sewer service [S.S.] - 360)
area average for suspended solids (S.S.)
For each unit of an office of commercial building
or any establishment having facilities for
trailers, campers or boats. 6.75
Late Charge
Any bill outstanding over 30 days shall be assessed a ten percent (1
late charge fee.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days 1
2 its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
3 ll ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in the Carlsbad Jour

within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council on the 26th day of April j 1988, and thereafter -
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Counci
the 3rd day of Mav , 1988 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Mamaux and Larson
