ORDINANCE NO. NS-35
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 10,
CHAPTER 10.52 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE
BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 10.52 -130 TO ALLOW
FOR THE REMOVAL OF ABANDONED VEHICLES ON
HIGHWAYS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Title 10, Chapter 10.52 of the Car
Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 10.52.1
read as follows:
"10.52.130 Unlawful and an infraction to abandon, 1
store or leave vehicle in excess of three days. It is unlawfu
any person to abandon, park, store, or leave or permit abandonment, parking, storing or leaving of any license
unlicensed vehicle or part thereof, which is in an aband, wrecked, dismantled or inoperative condition upon any pr
property or public property within the city for a period in e
of three days, unless such vehicle or part thereof is compl
enclosed within a building in a lawful manner, where it i:
plainly visible from the street or other public or pr
property, or unless such vehicle is stored or parked in a 1
manner on a private property in connection with the business
licensed dismantler, licensed vehicle dealer or a junkyard."
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall become operati'
January 1, 1989.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective t
days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify t
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at
once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after
adoption.
