ORDINANCE NO. NS-51
AN [ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 11,
CHAPTER 11.32 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE
BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 11.32.030 (11) TO
PROHIBIT DOGS FROM ALL CITY BEACHES AND PARKS
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, Californiz
ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Title 11, Chapter 11.32 of the Car
Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of Section 11.32.03
to read as follows:
"(11) To ride or lead horses, or to hitch, fasten, drive or let loose any animal or fowl of any kind. Dogs ax allowed in Carlsbad's parks or on Carlsbad's beaches. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this cha this section 'does not apply to the Batiquitos Lagoon, Buena Lagoon or Aqua Hedionda Lagoon. This prohibition does not apply to a dog accompanyj unsighted person, dogs while assisting peace officers il enforcement duties, or to dogs participating in shows or obec classes autho:rized by the Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Depar on specified areas of parks or beaches.Il
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective
1, 1989, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
ordinance and cause it to be published at least once i:
Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its adoption.
