AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED AS AN
URGENCY ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TEMPORARY
LAND USE CONTROLS IMPOSED BY INTERIM ORDINANCE NO. NS-127 TO PROTECT OPEN SPACE LANDS IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD.
WHEREAS, the city Council at its regular meeting of 6
7 August 21, 1990, by the adoption of Interim Ordinance NO.

Exhibit "A" to that ordinance entitled "Comprehensive Open Spac
Network Map" dated August 1989, so that the City Council'
considerations are not prejudiced; and
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting of January 2 , 1990, t€
City Council approved the work plan for considering tl
recommendations of the report from the citizen's committee t
study open space with the understanding that Phase I of the WOI
plan would be completed by July 1, 1990; and
WHEREAS, on June 26, 1990, Council appointed a nil
member Open Space Advisory Committee to complete Phase I ar
Phase 2 of the work plan; and
WHEREAS, the interim ordinance may be extended for t
to ten months and fifteen days following a noticed public hearir
pursuant to Government Code Section 65858(a),

1 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City (
2 Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
3 SECTION I: That the provisions of Interim Ordinanc
4 No. NS-127 are hereby extended for ten months and fifteen days
5 DECLARATION OF URGENCY: This ordinance is here1
