CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.08, OF THE CAF
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM MECHd

18.08.010 AdoDted. The 1991 Edition of the Uniform Mechanical
copyrighted by the International Conference of Building Officials and the Intern
Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, is adopted by reference i
mechanical code of the City, except for the changes, additions and amendmer
forth in this Chapter, which shall supersede the provisions of said Code.
18.08.020 Building official desiqnated. The Community Development Di
or authorized representative of the city is designated as the building offic
mentioned in the Uniform Mechanical Code and is designated as the person whi
enforce all of the provisions of that code.
18.08.030 Violations. Any person or corporation who violates any (
provisions of this chapter is guilty of an infraction, except for the fourth and
additional violation of a provision within one year, which shall be a misdemc
Penalties for a violation of this Chapter shall be as designated in Section 1.08.C
this Code.

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its ado
and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it
published as least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its ado,
