AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLS
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.1 6, BY THE AMENDMEF
SECTIONS 18.16.010, 18.16.030, 18.16.130 AND THE DELETIOF
SECTION 18.16.150 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOP
REFERENCE THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE (1991 EDITION).
5 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as follow

10 18.16.010 AdoDted. The 1991 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing (
copyrighted by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officii
11 adopted by reference as the plumbing code of the City, except for the cha
additions, and amendments set forth in this chapter, which shall supersed 12 provisions of said code.

"administrative authority" is used in this code it means the Community Develol
Uniform Plumbing Code is amended to read: I.6

(a) Permit Fees.
Every applicant for a permit to do work regulated by this code shall st
writing on the application form provided for that purpose the character of
proposed to be done and such information pertinent thereto as may be required.
applicant shall pay for each permit issued at the time of issuance a fee in accor
with the following schedule and at the rate provided for each classification 5
herein.
Any person who commences any work for which a permit is required t
code without first having obtained a permit therefor shall, if subsequently permil
obtain a permit, pay double the permit fee fixed by this section for such work,
provision shall not apply to emergency work when it is proved to the satisfaction
Administrative Authority that such work was urgently necessary and that it w
practical to obtain a permit therefor before the commencement of the work. In a
cases a permit must be obtained as soon as it is practical to do so, and if therc
unreasonable delay in obtaining such permit, a double fee shall be charged.
