AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SPECIFIC
PLAN AMENDMENT SP-l9(D), THE CAR COUNTRY
EXPANSION AREA.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
ordain as follows:
SECTION I: That Section I11 A. 1. of Specific Plan 19(E
amended by the addition of the following:
It (b) Subject to the approval of a Conditional Use Permit
the finding that the use is associated with an existing new
dealership in Car Country, a finding that no new auto dealers are available at the time of approval and, a condition that time a new car dealership becomes available, the following shall be abated and/or modified so that the new auto dealer becomes the primary use of the site.
(i) auto rental and leasing (ii) used vehicle sales (iii) auto repair - foreign and domestictt
SECTION 11: That Section I11 D of Specific Plan 19(E) i
amended to include the following:
ItIrrespective of use, all lot improvements, with exception of Lots 2 and 3, shall be designed and constructe
their entirety as new motor vehicle dealerships to include
sales and service facilities as a contiguous whole."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty
after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at 1
once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after
adoption.
