ORDINANCE NO. NS-403
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44,
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF
SECTION 10.44.520 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA FACIE 35 MILE PER
HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON BATIQUITOS DRIVE FROM AVIARA
PARKWAY TO GOLDEN STAR LANE AND 40 MILES PER HOUR
FROM GOLDEN STAR LANE TO KESTREL DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title IO, Chapter 10.44 of the Carlsbad Municipl
Code is amended by the addition of Section 10.44.520 to read as follows:
“1 0.44.520 Batiauitos Drive:
(a) Upon Batiquitos Drive from Aviara Parkway to its intersection
with Golden Star Lane, the prima facie speed limit shall be thirty-five miles
per hour.

(b) Upon Batiquitos Drive from Golden Star Lane to Kestrel Drive,
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective (30) thirty di
after its adoption; and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adopt
of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in a newspaper
general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within (1 5) fifteen days after its adoptiol
