AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
ADDITION OF SECTION IO.44570 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA
FACIE 40 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON HIDDEN VALLEY ROAD FROM CAMINO DE LAS ONDAS TO ITS
INTERSECTION WITH PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title IO, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
)y the addition of Section 10.44570 to read as follows:
“10.44.570 Hidden Vallev Road:
Upon Hidden Valley Road from Camino de las Ondas to its
intersection with Palomar Airport Road, the prima facie speed
limit shall be forty miles per hour.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
ind the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
)e published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
ifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
14th day of July , 1998, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
leld on the 21st day of July , 1998 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and Hall
