ORDINANCE NO. NS-495
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 3.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTIONS 3.28.090 and 3.28.172 TO REVISE THE PURCHASING PROCEDURES.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as 1
Section 1: That Title 3, Chapter 3.28 of the Carlsbad Municip;
amended by the amendment of Sections 3.28.090 and 3.28.172 to read as
3.28.090 Biddinq.
Purchases of supplies, services and equipment shall t
procedures pursuant to this chapter. The splitting or separating of any pu
contract into smaller orders or projects for the purpose of avoiding compli
procedures in this Code is prohibited. Bidding may be dispensed with:
(2) When the aggregate amount of a single purchase for
services or equipment is less than five thousand dollars; or
3.28.1 72 Execution of Chanae Orders, Extensions and Amendment:
(c) The city manager shall have the authority to execu
extensions to agreements within the authority granted by Section 3.28.170,
the amount is within the limits of that authority:
