ORDINANCE NO. Ns-594
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
REVISION OF SECTION 10.44210 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA
FACIE 40 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON
ALICANTE ROAD FROM ALGA ROAD TO ITS INTERSECTION
WITH CORTE DE LA VISTA.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the revision of Section 10.44210 to read as follows:
“10.44.210 Alicante Road: Upon Alicante Road from Alga Road to
its intersection with Corte de la Vista, the prima facie speed limit
shall be forty miles per hour.” .
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption
and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
26th day of June ,2001, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 10th day of JULY I 2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard, Hall
