AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE REVISION OF
SECTION 10.44.090 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA FACIE 50 MILE PER
HOUR SPEED LIMIT UPON ALGA ROAD FROM EL CAMINO REAL
TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH MELROSE DRIVE.
6 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:

I SECTION 1: That Title IO, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the revision of Section 10.44090 to read as follows:

“10.44.090 Alaa Road. Upon Alga Road from El Camino Real to
its intersection with Melrose Drive the prima facie speed limit shall be fifty miles per hour.”
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption

1 and the City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
’ be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
7th dayof Auqust ,2001, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
held on the 21s-t day of Ausust (2001 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, and Nygaard.
NOES: Council Member Hall.
