ORDINANCE NO. NS-621
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.44, OF
THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION
10.44.680 TO ESTABLISH A PRIMA FACIE 40 MILE PER HOUR
SPEED LIMIT UPON BLACK RAIL ROAD FROM AVIARA PARKWAY
TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SAPPHIRE DRIVE.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
,y the addition of Section 10.44.680 to read as follows:
"10.44680 Black Rail Road. Upon Black Rail Road from Aviara Parkway
to its intersection with Sapphire Drive, the prima facie speed limit shall
be forty miles per hour."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and
he City Clerk, City of Carlsbad, shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to
)e published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within
ifteen (15) days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the
=day of A, 2002, and thereafter,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
leld on the 5th day of MARCH , 2002 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard. Hall
