2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
3 10.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE
REVISION OF SECTION 10.44.300 TO ESTABLISH UPON
4 TAMARACK AVENUE A PRIMA FACIE 30 MILE PER HOUR
SPEED LIMIT FROM COLLEGE BOULEVARD (SOUTH) TO ITS
5 INTERSECTION WITH COLLEGE BOULEVARD (NORTH).
6 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
7 SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.44, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
g by the revision of Section 10.44.300 to read as follows:
9 "10.44.300 Tamarack Avenue.
(a) Upon Tamarack Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to its
intersection with Interstate Highway 5, the prima facie speed limit
shall be thirty miles per hour.
(b) Upon Tamarack Avenue from Interstate Highway 5 to its
intersection with Skyline Road, the prima facie speed limit shall be
thirty miles per hour.
]4 (c) Upon Tamarack Avenue from Skyline Road to its
intersection with El Camino Real, the prima facie speed limit shall
, <- be thirty-five miles per hour.
(d) Upon Tamarack Avenue from El Camino Real to its
intersection with Carlsbad Village Drive, the prima facie speed limit
shall be forty-five miles per hour.
(e) Upon Tamarack Avenue from Carlsbad Village Drive to its
intersection with College Boulevard, the prima facie speed limit
19 shall be thirty-five miles per hour.
20 (f) Upon Tamarack Avenue from College Boulevard (south) to
its intersection with College Boulevard (north), the prima facie
21 speed limit shall be thirty miles per hour."
22 EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; and
23 the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in
24 a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a Regular Meeting of the Carlsbad City Council on
the 19th day of December, 2006, and thereafter
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, on the 9th day of January, 2007, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, Sigafoose
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
