AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE
3 STOPS ON SIERRA MORENA AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION
WITH CHESTNUT AVENUE (NORTH), CHESTNUT AVENUE
4 (SOUTH) AND VALEWOOD AVENUE. _
5 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
6 SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
7 by the revision of Section 10.28.120 to read as follows:
g "10.28.120 Chestnut Avenue. Drivers shall stop where the
following described streets intersect Chestnut Avenue:

Adams Street
10 Eureka Street
Highland Street
1 1 Monroe Street
Pio Pico Drive
12 Sierra Morena Avenue
Valley Street
13 West Haven Drive."
14 SECTION 2: That Title 10. Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28.960 to read as follows:

"10.28.960 Valewood Avenue. Drivers shall stop where the following street
16 intersects Valewood Avenue:
17 Sierra Morena Avenue."
1 8 SECTION 3: That Title 1 0. Chapter 1 0.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28.961 to read as follows:

"10.28.961 Sierra Morena Avenue. Drivers shall stop where the following streets
20 intersect Sierra Morena Avenue:
21 Chestnut Avenue
Valewood Avenue."

23 EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; and
24 the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in
25 a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
