ORDINANCE NO. CS-083
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER
10.28 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE
STOPS ON DONNA DRIVE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH
FALCON DRIVE AND AT GAYLE WAY; BASSWOOD AVENUE AT
ITS INTERSECTION WITH BELLE LANE; BELLE LANE AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH BASSWOOD AVENUE; GAYLE WAY AT
ITS INTERSECTION WITH ANN DRIVE; AND ANN DRIVE AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH GAYLE WAY.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, hereby ordains as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the revision of Section 10.28.170 to read as follows:
"10.28.170 Basswood Avenue. Drivers shall stop where the
Belle Lane
Donna Drive
Eureka Place

Valley Street."

SECTION 2: That Title 10. Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended

by the addition of Section 10.28.962 to read as follows:

"10.28.962 Falcon Drive. Drivers shall stop where the following described street
intersects Falcon Drive:
Donna Drive."
SECTION 3: That Title 10. Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
by the addition of Section 10.28.963 to read as follows:
"10.28.963 Gavle Way. Drivers shall stop where the following described streets22 n
intersect Gayle Way:

Ann Drive
Donna Drive."

1 SECTION 4: That Title 10. Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
2 by the addition of Section 10.28.964 to read as follows:
3 "10.28.964 Belle Lane. Drivers shall stop where the following described street
intersects Belle Lane:

Basswood Avenue."

SECTION 5: That Title 10. Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended

by the addition of Section 10.28.965 to read as follows:

"10.28.965 Ann Drive. Drivers shall stop where the following described street
8 intersects Ann Drive:
9 Gayle Way."
10 SECTION 6: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended
11 by the revision of Section 10.28.120 to read as follows:
12 "10.28.120 Chestnut Avenue. Drivers shall stop where the following
described streets intersect Chestnut Avenue:

Adams Street
14 Donna Drive
Eureka Place
15 Highland Drive
Monroe Street
16 Pio Pico Drive
Valley Street
17 West Haven Drive
Sierra Morena Avenue."

SECTION 7: That Title 10, Chapter 10.28 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is amended

by the revision of Section 10.28.260 to read as follows:
20 "10.28.260 Monroe Street. Drivers shall stop where the following
21 described streets intersect Monroe Street:
22 Alder Avenue
Basswood Avenue
23 Gayle Way
Sunnyhill Drive."

EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption; and
25
the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least once in
26
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council on
the 13th day of April, 2010, and thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad on the 27th day of April, 2010 by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Kulchin, Hall, Packard, Blackburn
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Lewis
ABSTAIN: None
