In-Kind Sponsorship Agreement
The Iris Group, dba Modern Postcard, enters into a sponsorship agreement with:

IVIodern Postcard agrees to provide the following to the City of Carlsbad in support of the 2013 Jazz in the Park event:
- Value of print sponsorship will be applied to the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Office account in the form of a print credit good towards the print
pricing of 3,000 Sumo Size® postcards. Print credit is valued at $ $805
- The 2013 TGIF Jazz in the Park event catalog (8,000 quantity, 48-page 8.5"xH") will be provided to the Carlsbad Cultural Arts Office at
cost: $5,863.32 (including sales tax). This cost represents a print credit of $5429 against the normal retail charge of $10,977.12
- The Carlsbad Cultural Arts Office is responsible for applicable tax, shipping, mailing service, list service, postage or production turnaround
upgrade costs, unless otherwise agreed to and stated within this agreement. Current charges are estimated at $434.32{booklet tax) +
$64.40 (sumo card tax) =$498.72, not to exceed $500.
- One complimentary order of 250 5x7 or Deluxe Postcards for businesses who advertise in the 2013 TGIF Jazz in the Park event catalog or
donate 9 prizes and/or one significant major prize, as determined by the City's Cultural Arts Manager, to the TGIF Opportunity Drawings
organized and conducted by the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts.
- Nine (9) Opportunity Drawing prize giveaways in the form of a gift certificate, each good for 1 order of 25 Folded Greeting Cards with
envelopes from slmplecard.com
In exchange for print sponsorship, Carlsbad Cultural Arts Office agrees to provide Modern Postcard:
- One full page ad within the 2013 TGIF Jazz in the Park event catalog
- Mailing list of businesses who advertised in the 2013 TGIF Jazz in the Park event catalog and donated to the Opportunity
Drawings
- Two - three minute speaking opportunity on stage prior to the start of each Jazz in the Park concert, to describe their
corporate partnership with TGIF and to introduce the evening's City Council member.
- Five (5) non-transferable VIP parking passes for Modern Postcard employees good for use at any of the Carlsbad TGIF Jazz in
the Park events. Modern Postcard agrees not to transfer or sell the parking passes.
- Modern Postcard name and/or logo on the sponsorship banner displayed in front of the stage
Entire Agreement: This Agreement supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings and agreements between the parties hereto and
constitutes the final and complete understanding of the parties regarding the subject matter hereof, and both parties acknowledge and
agree that neither party has relied on any representations or promises in connection with this Agreement not contained herein. This
Agreement may not be amended or modified except by a subsequent written instrument evidencing the express consent of each of the
parties, duly executed by the parties.
