PERMIT This permit shall be kept at the site of the work and must be shown to any authorized rep- resentative of the Coimty of San Diego, or law enforcement officer. 2. PROTECTION OF TRAFFIC Adequate provision shall be maintained to protect the traveling public. Barricades, red lights, and warning signs shall be maintained, together with flagmen where required; and ap- proaches to private driveways and intersecting roads shall be kept open to traffic at all times. 3. LOCATION OF PIPES Sewer pipe shall be placed in accordance with the provisions of County Ordinance No. 109 (new series). All pipes and conduits laid parallel to the roadway shall be placed at least 5 feet from the edge of the pavement or graded traveled roadway, and all such pipes or condtiits shall have a minimum coveyftig o| two (2) feet. It is expressly imderstood in the grantihg of this permit that in case of reconstruction or maintenance of the road by tte Coimty, and it becomes fiecessary to loweu, move , or remove the installation provided herein, that, upon request of the Cotjnty Road Commissioner, the satoe khall be lowered, moved or removed at the expense of the permittee. 4-. BACKMLL All backfill shall be moistened and well tamped. 5. REPLACING SURFACE MATERIAL After the trench has been properly bsi^ckfiUed, any surfacing which has bee^ removed or destroyed shsfll be replaced at the expense bf the Permittee and tb the satisfaction of the Coimty Road Commissioner. 6. GLEANING RIGHT OF WAY After the work has been completed all excess material and debris shall be removed and the right of way left in a neat and orderly condition. ' 7. PROTEOnON OF COUNTY FROM DAMAGE The said Permittee shall idemnify and the County of San Diego harmless from any damage, cost or expense, or claim for damage, cost or expense, arising either directly, indirectly, or conse- quentially from the lying of said pipe line. 8.
