As an update to the September 2, 2008 report, staff notes that since that date an additional grant recipient requested and received partial funding originally encumbered. Of the $164,000 awarded to Buena Vista Lagoon Foundation for AGP 06-04 (Buena Vista Lagoon Boardwalk), staff disbursed $68,000 from the Agricultural Conversion Mitigation Fund to finance phase 1 of the project which primarily funds concept design formulation. Pursuant to the Letter of Agreement entered into between the grantee and the City, phase 1 tasks are expected to be completed by January 31, 2009. As an update to the September 2, 2008 report, staff further notes that of the thirteen (13) projects approved for grant funding: • Four (4) projects have received full disbursement of funding for project implementation. • Six (6) projects have received partial disbursement of funding for project implementation. • Three (3) projects have yet to receive disbursement of funding for project implementation. A revised/detailed encumbrance/disbursement breakdown has been attached to this report as Exhibit 1 to summarize encumbrance and disbursement balances for awarded agricultural conversion mitigation grant projects.
