Subject: Election of Officers for Calendar Years 2020 and 2021
Recommended Action
Solicit nominations for and elect the Beach Preservation Commission Chairperson, and – if
needed - Vice Chairperson for calendar years 2020 and 2021.
Discussion
Every other year, elections are held for the positions of the Beach Preservation Commission
Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. On Feb. 4, 2020, the Beach Preservation Commission
elected Linda Petrucci to the position of Chairperson and Fred Briggs to the position of Vice
Chairperson for calendar years 2020 and 2021. Subsequently, Ms. Petrucci’s available terms as
a Beach Preservation Commissioner were exhausted. Therefore, the election of a Commission
Chairperson for balance of calendar year 2020 and calendar year 2021 is needed. If Mr. Briggs
is elected to the position of Chairperson, the election of a Commission Vice Chairperson for the
balance of calendar year 2020 and calendar year 2021 will be needed.
After nominations have been received and accepted, the Commissioners will vote to elect the
Chairperson, and - if needed - the Vice Chairperson for calendar years 2020 and 2021.
