RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends acceptance of work in accordance wit1 contract No. U/M-24, as complete and requests direction tc the City Clerk to have the Notice of Completion recorded ant to release the bonds thirty-five (35) days after recordation.
I ITEM EXPLANATION:
On September 12, 1989, the City Council awarded a contract for the 1988-89 Street Chip Seal Program to Californie
Pavement Maintenance Company, Inc., in the amount of
$255,380. Due to unsuitable weather conditions, commencement
of the project was delayed until April 30, 1990,
Change Order Numbers 1 and 2 in the amount of $5,523.50 ant
$1,755.65, respectively, resulted in a total contract amount of $262 , 659.15. The project has now been completed and is acceptable to the Utilities and Maintenance Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There are sufficient funds in Account No. 001-820-5110-2412 for payment on the project.
