Statement of the Matter
As a result of the Council Meeting of May 19, 1970, it was determined
that a bond issue would be necessary to achieve funding of the
Public Works and Parks and Recreation priority projects.

RESOLUTION NO. 1741
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD EXPRESSING COUNCIL INTENTION TO SUBMIT
TO THE VOTERS THE ISSUANCE OF ONE OR MORE BOND
ISSUES FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING NEEDED PUBLIC
WORKS AND PARKS AND RECREATION PROJECTS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve
as follows:
1. There are in the City of Carlsbad various needed improvement;
to City public works and to the City parks and recreations program j
and facilities.
2. Funding for said needed projects can be accomplished most
expeditiously through the issuance of bonds.
3. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby express
its intention to submit to the voters the question of whether or
not bonds should be issued, in one or more issues, for the purposes
of funding needed public works projects and parks and recreations
projects.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held June 3 ,
1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Dunne, Cmn. McComas, Castro and Lewis.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Cmn. Jardine.
