The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as
follows:
1. South Carlsbad Annexation No. 1.6 to the City of Carlsbad
involves that certain real property located in the County of San
Diego, State of California, particularly described on Exhibit A,
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
2. The Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa-
tion without notice and hearing and also approved and authorized
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad to annex said territory
without notice and hearing by the legislative body, and without an
election, as provided in Government Code Section 54797.1.
3. No change in the boundary of the proposed annexation has
been made.
4. At the duly noted hearing before the City Council, no
majority protest to said annexation was made.
5. Said annexation is approved by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, California, held June 3, 1970, by the
following vote, to wit:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
SOUTH CARLSBAD ANNEXATION NO. 1.6
All that portion of Fractional Section 20, T. 12 S., R. 4 W. , S.B.M.,
according to the U.S. Government Surveys approved October 25, 1875
and September 17, 1915 described as follows:
1. Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Lot 19 in Block 21 of
La Costa Downs Unit No. 1, according to Map thereof No. 2013
filed April 6, 1927 in the office of the Recorder of said County,
said corner being an angle point in the Northerly boundary of
said La Costa Downs Unit No. 1;

2. Thence along said Northerly boundary S. 69°33'55" W., 69.29 feet
(S. 68053'20" W., 68.75 feet, Map 2013) to the Easterly line of
the Right of Way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company, Coast Lines, being the successor in interest of the
California Southern Railroad Company, which was shown on a map
approved by the Secretary of the Interior, May 12, 1881; and
constructed in 1882 on the location shown on said map;
3. Thence along said Easterly line N. 18°24'35" W., 1204.44 feet to
a point in the Southerly boundary of the Rancho Agua Hedionda,
according to the United States Government Resurvey of Subdivision
of T. 12 S., R. 4 W., S.B.M., by Owen approved September 17, 1915,
a copy of which was filed in the office of the Recorder of said
County, June 21, 1920 as Miscellaneous Map 29 and also according
to Map marked "Plaintiffs Exhibit A in Superior Court Document
No. 16830, dated May 6, 1916";
4. Thence along said boundary S. 89°27'10" E., 878.76 feet to a line
which bears N. 27°14'24" W., from a poing being at coordinates
¥=346,551.44 feet and X=l,673,240.07 feet;
5. Thence along said line S. 27°14'24" E.,652.95 feet to a line which
bears N. 61°51'00" E. from the Easterly terminus of that 60 foot
radius curve on the Northerly line of La Loma Boulevard, as shown
on said Map 2013;
6. Thence S. 61°51'00" W., 292.78 feet to said Easterly terminus;
7. Thence Westerly and Southwesterly along said curve 60.31 feet
through a central angle of 57°35'50" to an intersection with a line
which bears S. 61°51'00" W., from said Easterly terminus; a radial
to said curve at said intersection bears N. 56°56'55" W.;
8. Thence along said line S. 61°51'00" W., 484.04 feet to a line which
bears N. 18°24'35" W., from an angle point in the Northerly line
of San Luis Boulevard as shown on said Map No. 2013, said angle
point being the Westerly terminus of that line having a bearing of
"N. 89°58'20" E.";
9. Thence S. 18024'35" E., 115.28 feet to said angle point;
10. Thence S. 51°00'55" W., (S. 50°20'20" W., Map 2013), along boundary
of said Map No. 2013, 42.19 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 17.74 acres, more or less.
The bearings, distances and coordinates used in the above description
are on the California Coordinate System, Zone 6. Multiply all
distances in the above description by 1.0000370 to obtain ground
level distances.

RESOLUTION OP LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
APPROVING A PBOPpSED ANNEXATION OP TERRITORYTO THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
(SOUTH CARLSBAD ANNEXATION NO. 1.6)
On motion of Commissioner Morgan , seconded by
Commissioner Scheldle > the following resolution is adopted?
WHEREAS, an application for approval of a proposal for the
initiation of proceedings for the annexation of territory to the
City of C&rlabad (hereinafter referred to as the
City) has been filed with this Commission (Local Agency Formation
Commission Reference No. CA70-fr ) as provided for by Government
Code Section 54791j and
WHEREAS, the executive officer of this Commission has filed
his report relative to said proposed annexation, which report has been
reviewed and considered by this Commission^ NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED THAT THIS COMMISSION HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES
AND ORDERS as follows;
1. The Commission finds and determines thats
(a) The application for annexation is signed by all of the
owners of land within the territory proposed to be
annexed, or is accompanied by prdof, satisfactory to
this Commission, that all of the owners within such
territory have given their written consent to such
annexation, as provided in Government Code Section
1 54797=1.
(b) This Commission approves such annexation without
notice and hearing and also approves and authorizes
the legislative body of the City to annex such
territory without notice and hearing by the legislative
body, and without an election, as provided in Govern-
ment Code Section 54797.1.

(c) The territory proposed to be annexed (hereinafter referred
to as the Territory) is as described in Exhibit A attached
hereto.
(d) The description of the boundaries of the Territory to be
annexed is definite and certain»

2o The Territory proposed to be annexed is hereby designated the

k. The Commission hereby approves the proposed annexation subject to
the conditions, if any, stated on said Exhibit attached hereto and the
proponents of such proposal are authorized to initiate annexation pro-
ceedings in compliance with this resolution.
5. The executive officer of this Commission is directed to mail and
file certified copies of this resolution as required by law=
