Statement of the Matter
I. The City Engineer's office has completed checking the Final Map
of El Camino Mesa No. 5 for conformance with the State Subdivision Map
Act and applicable State and local ordinances of the City of Carlsbad.
2. The Final Map,conforms substantially to the conditions of the
Tentative Map approved by the City Council on July 1, 1969 (Resolution
No. 1633). The number of lots has been reduced from 49 to 47.
3. Those Lots G and I previously rejected for public street.purposes
on El Camino Mesa Unit No. 2, Map No. 5617 recorded August 25, 1965
should now be accepted. (See Exhibit "A" and Resolution No.

Staff Recommendations
1. Adopt a motion approving the Final Map of that proposed subdivision
known as El Camino Mesa Unit No. 5 subject to the conditions of the
Tentative Map and accepting dedication of the public streets, ways,
and easements as proposed.
2. That the Council adopt Resolution No. IZE accepting for public
street purposes all of Lot G and Lot I, El Camino Mesa Unit No. 2,
Map No. 5617 recorded August 25, 1965 in the City of Carlsbad, County
of San Diego, State of California.

COUNCIL ACTION:
6-3-70 Deferred at request of applicant to meeting of 6-16-70.
6-16-70 The matter was taken off calendar until such time as the
developer posts the necessary bonds and an improvement
agreement has been executed.
7-7-70 The final map of El Camino Mesa Unit #5 was approved, and
the Mayor authorized to executethe Improvement Agreement
on behalf of the City.
Resolution #1739 was adopted, accepting for public street
purposes all of Lot G and I, El Camino Mesa Unit #2, Map #5617.

RESOLUTION NO. 9 9' `
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD ACCEPTING FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES CERTAIN
PRIiVIOUSLY REJECTED LOTS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve
as follows:
1. The following described real property located in_the
City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California,
i particularly described as Lots G and I of E1 Camino ;Mesa Subdivi-
sion, Unit No. 2, according to map thereof No. 5617, recorded
August 2S, 196S, which were previously rejected by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad for public street purposes, are now hereby
accepted for public street purposes.
2. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad shall cause a
certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of San Diego County and to cause a copy hereof
to be forwarded to the County Assessor of the County of San Diego,
State of California.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City
(Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held July 7,
1970 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Dunne, Cmn. Jardine, Castro and Lewis.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Cmn. McComas.
