In the past year fifteen (15) new homes have been constructed in this area, creating a greater need for street lighting. The resi- dents of the area were originally requested to forn, an assessment district for the installation of permanent lights. They have indigated it will be too expensive. Permanent street lights can physically be installed on Las Robles at this time since curb and gutter have been constructed. No curb and gutter exists along Carlsbad Boulevard, but location of the permanent street lights can be determined such that they would not have to be relocated. If the Council feels ornamental street lights are desirable as a City standard, it would not seem appropriate to permit deviation in this case. (Date) city Council City of Carlsbad Carlsbad, California Gentlemen: Sheet 1 of 2 Sheets We, the undersigned owners of property within the City of Carlsbad, hereby request that your honorable body grant an exception to its present street light policy, and order the installation of street lights on wood poles with overhead service wires on Los Robles Drive, between Cerezo and Manzano Drive, and on Carlsbad Boulevard, between Cerezo and Manzano Drive.
