Statement of the Matter T
The modification of'the traffic signals on Carlsbad Boulevard at Elm and
Grand Av9nues has been satisfactoriLy complgted-by the Traffic Signal
Maintenance Company, Inc .
The contrack price for the project '($9,816.71) was a maximum, subject to
actual costs, which amounted to $9,266.71, as billed, .
The original designtanticipated an existing interconnect conduit between
.the Elm and Grand Avenue controllers. - It was found in the field that
175 feet of conduit had never been installed. Change Order No. 1 in the
amouht of $746.33 is required to cover the cost of installation 6f this
conduit and the attendant wiring. - Total cost of the project including Change Order No. 1 is $10,013.04;
funds bidgeted are in amount of $11,000.00. in the Gas Tax Fund for other projects, .. Exhibit

Action:
The plans for Contract #lo02 call for interconnection of the
signals for synchronization. It was believed that a conduit for
this purpose existed between' the controllers. Actual conditions
disclosed that the installation of an additional 175 feet of
1%'' conduit with wiring was required to complete the installation.
The work has been accomplished.
cost:
The cost of this change order is an additional $746.33 on a time
and materials basis .
