Statement of the Matter
The property owner; Mr. Peter Aguilar, is desirous of encroaching into
the public right of way.with.a building marquee. Marquee construction
will conform to the requirements of.the Building Code.
Since there are. no overhead line on State and sidewalk is ten (10) feet,
the marquee will not interfere with any"?xisting or proposed improvements
in the' public right of way.

Gentlemen:
We are in the process of constructing a commerical building on the
west side of State Street, for Mr. Pete A..:ilar, On what has *been udgd
for a parking lot for sometime.
This building is planned along the same modern trend that has already
been established across the street, with glass front and a marquee along
the entire face of the building, with perhaps a continuation of this marquee
on the existing building to the south, at a later date.
This marquee is planned to conform to section ii4505 of the Uniform
Building Code, We have been informed by the Building Dept that there is an
Encrochment Permit required to construct a marquee ofer City Property.
Please eeeept this letter as formal application for said Permit.
