Statement No~ 6 on replacement of damaged uniforms.· The ~ffective date should probably not be post-~ated beyond July 1, 197t. The City Attorney should rul~ on whether thjs policy could be applied prior to 2-16-71. 3~2-71 Recommend the revised Council Poli~y Statement be adopted. I am in concurrence with your statements on the proposal that I submitted pertaining to uniforms and other equipment replacement th~t have been destroyed or do.map.ad in thP line or duty. Why don't we just present the attached copy (I .believ,, that Ralph drew it up.) In the future if the need or desire comes up we can res- surect it, and present it to the city manager and council for their recommendations or action. (My proposal) We should put an effective date on this, dated back to .when the uniforms were destroyed.
