He is retiring, ef- fective•July 1, 1971. Recrgitment has been completed and an extremely well qualified•replacement is available. He is currently unemployed and should be hired immediately. Immediate hiring will permit a training period dut ng which the replacement can be familiarized with the City and.City procedures•under.the tutelage,of the present inspector. Funds id•the amount•of $4,800 should:be transferred from Section 2106(a), Gas Tax.Funds, into the•ippropriate salary account, 1-110-151, to cover k the salary of the replacement inspector through,thd remainder of -the fiscal year ana'the termination salary of Mr. Westree, the•.presen-t in- spector.
