6-29-71 Request for.recognition of Department Heads as a "Bargaining
Unit" acknowledged. Council requested a list of Department
Heads. Cmn. McComas stated he did not feel City Treasurer
or City Clerk were Department Heads. -City Manager to meet
-with Department Heads to determinerepresentation.
7-6-71 Pursuant to the Myers-Milias-Brown .Act, Section 3500 Et Seq.,
the department heads were approved as a "'bargaining unit."

The Department Heads for the City of Carlsbad, pursuant
to the Myers-Milias-Brown Act, Section 3500 Et. Seq.,hereby
request recognition on their own behalf for the purpose of
meeting and conferring on conditions of employment as defined
in Section 3504 of the Government Code.
