Duties are performed under direction. Examples 1. Assists the City Clerk in assemblying materials and of Duties preparing agendas for the City Council meetings. 2. Attends Council meetings; takes, transcribes, and dis- tributes minutes; type's ordinances, resolutions, proclama- tions, and similar documents. 3. Performs filing of correspondence, ordinances, resolutions, and other materials. 4. Processes City business licenses and collects fees; records and files applications. 5. Assists the City Clerk in the registration of voters and the conduct of elections. 6. Takes and transcribes dictation from the City Clerk and other City officials and takes and transcribes minutes of meetings of the Central Business District Action Commission. 7. Answers inquiries by telephone and in person regarding the activities of the office and actions of the City Council. 8. Acts for the City Clerk during absences and as directed. 9. May serve as relief Switchboard Operator -Receptionist as assigned. Employment Any combination of training and experience equivalent to gradu- Standards ation from high school, supplemented by courses in stenography and typing, and three years of responsible clerical experience.
