RESOLUTION No, 1925
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD PROVIDING FOR PROVISION
FOR HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY.
WHEREAS, mem-randa of understanding have heretofore been reached
with City Employees regarding the closing of municipal Offices on certain
legal holidays, and
WHEREAS, provision has heretofore been made .for legal holidays
falling on a Sunday, namely the closing of City Offices• on the following
Monday, and
WHEREAS, no -provision has heretofore bee" 'Bade for legal holidays
falling on a Saturday,
NOW THER3FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, hereafter, when a legal
holiday falls on a Saturday, the -preceding Friday shall be deemed to be the
holiday for purposes of closing municipal Offices as provided in such employ
memoranda passed in the future.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED, by -the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at an adjourned meeting held on the 7th day of December.
1971, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewis.
