'Assisting them in establishing, improving and extending library services; 2.. Now,, therefore, be it resolved that City Manager, Jack B.* Arnold, is directed and authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Carlsbad, that certain "Fourth Amendment to Joint Exer- cise of Powers Agreement Among the County of San Diego and the Cities of San Diego, Carlsbad,, Chula Vista, Coronado, -Escondido, National City, and Oceanside in Regard to the Serra Regional Library System." DUINNE, Mayor i r- r e w f RESOLUTION No. 1929 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION- OF FIFTH AMENDMENT TO JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREE- MENT REGARDING ADMISSION OF THE IMPERIAL COUNTY LIBRARIES AS MEMBERS OF SCRRA LIBRARY SYSTEM The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve that the City Manager of•the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Carlsbad the attached FIFTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, amending that certain Agree- 4ent entitled JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT regarding the Serra Regional Library System to cause the admission into said Agreement of the Imperial County Libraries. The effective date of this Fifth Amendment to Agreement shall be renewable annually thereafter, from year to year under the same terms and conditions, unless written notice of termination is received.
