Statement of the :fatter
The Building Department has plans for 302 multiple housing
units in plan check; 500 additional multiple units before
the end of the year; 150 single family dwelling units; 2
large mobile home parks now under construction; the San
Diego Gas and Electric Co. expansipn; commercial develop-
• ment and 2 restaurants which will be under construction
in the next few months.
The upcoming construction activity and other responsibilities
of the Building Department will require one additional
Combination Inspector to be'utilized primarily in the field.
Salary: Rate 33 - $ 3,606.•from March 1, 1972 to June 30,'
1972.
The Building Department has taken in $33,781 to December 31,,
1971. This is $8,781 more than the anticipated amount in the
budget for this period. We request the above $3,600 for an
additional employee.
Staff Recommendations
Finance Director recommends that $3,600. be transferred to
Acct. # 1-118-1.0; Salaries, from General Fund Balance.,
Council Action
1-18-72 •Authorization was given for the hiring of one additional
combination building inspector and for the transfer of *funds in the
amount of $3,600 from the General Fund Balance to Account•#1-118--1.0.
