ORDINANCE NO. 1148
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "SOUTH CARLSBAD ANNEXATION NO. 1.13" WHICH IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY, UPON THE TERMS CONTAINED IN THE QUESTION SUB- MITTED AT A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON T-HE 3rd DAY OF OCTOBER, 1972.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the
Legislature of the State of California, known as the Annexation
Act of 1913, and pursuant to Resolution No2051 adopted by the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 1st day of August,
1972, a special election was hald on the 3rd day of October, 1972
in that certain inhabited territory contiguous to the City of
Carlsbad, designated as "South Carlsbad Annexation No. 1.13",
which is hereinafter more particularly described; and
WHEREAS, at said special election the following question
was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territor
"Shall South Carlsbad Annexation No. 1.13 be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of the City of Carlsbad, and the property in such territory be, after such annexation, subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Carlsbad, to pay the
entire bonded indebtedness of the City of Carlsbad out- standing or authorized at the date of the first publicatia of the Notice of Election for the acquisition, constructic or completion of municipal improvements"?
WHEREAS, the total number of votes cast at said special
election was one hundred twenty (120), and the total number of
votes for and against said measure were as follows:
YES: 103
NO: 19
and;
it appears from t canvass of the returns of thc
votes at said special election, that a majority of all votes cas1
in said territory on the question of annexation and the assumptic
of said indebtedness, favor annexation upon the terms contained .

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM PRO-
PERTY TAXES NECESSARY TO SUPPORT THE
DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM
PROPERTY TAXES NECESSARY TO PAY THE
BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE "1962 SEWER
BONDS, SERIES A, B, AND C" AND "1966
LIBRARY BONDS" FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does .ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. REVENUE REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
pursuant to Section 51508 of the Government Code of the State of
California, does hereby, by this Ordinance, fix the amount of
revenue from property taxes necessary to support its departments
15 for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1972, and ending June 30,
16 1973, to be in the amount of $1,210,972.00.
SECTION 2. REVENUE REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE
"1962 SEWER BONDS. SERIES A. B, AND C." The City Clerk of the
19 City of Carlsbad, pursuant to Section 51508 of the Government Code
20 of the State of California does hereby, by this Ordinance, fix the
21 amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to pay the bonded
indebtedness of the "City of Carlsbad 1962 Sewer Bonds, Series
A, B, and C" for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1972 and ending
June 30, 1973, to be in the amount of $63,089.00.
SECTION 3. REVENUE REQUIRED FROM PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE "1966
LIBRARY BONDS". The City Council of the City of Carlsbad pursuant
27 to Section 51508 of the Government Code of the State of California
P8 does hereby, by this Ordinance, fix the amount of revenue from
property taxes necessary to pay the bonded indebtedness of the "Cit
of Carlsbad 1966 Library Bonds" for the fiscal year commencing
July 1, 1972 and ending June 30, 1973, to be in the amount of
$24,265.00.

RESOLUTION NO. 2063
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ADOPTING THE FINAL
BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR .1972-7.3.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does resolve as
follows:
1. That certain document entitled "City of Carlsbad Final
Budget - 1972-73", a copy of which is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, and is by this reference
incorporated herein, is hereby adopted as the Final Budget of the
City of Carlsbad for the Fiscal Year 1972-73.
2. The City Council may, by Minute Motion, transfer funds
from Unappropriated General Reserves to expenditure accounts from
time to time during the Fiscal Year 1972-73.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 15th day of
August, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
