PRIOR SERVICE CREDIT - VACATION LEAVE
Please be advised that my prior service credit for
vacation leave purposes should be for the period
August 1, 1955 through July 1, 1970. On the one-
third bass approved by the City Council, this would
be four (4) years, eleven (11) months added to Carls-
bad service.

SUBJECT: Profes-sional Service
Since June, 1958, 1 have been continuously engaged in engineering
or management oriented work. The experience for the entire period
is applicable to my present position as Public Works Director. It
is my understanding that this would all be applicable for a
vacation computation under Item 11, Vacation, of the Memorandum
of Understanding with the Department Heads dated July 17, 1972.

SUBJECT: PRIOR R POLICE SERVICE
For the purpose of determining my one-third prior police service,, as
agreed by the City Council to apply toward vacation, the following
service is to De considered:
I joined Covina Police Department on May,l, 1949. I left Covina Police
Department to join West Covina Police Department on March 1, 1953,
where I remained until August 1, 1970. Dtring that time 'I had no break
in service, which amounts to approximately 23 years and 4 months.
