OSBURN Statement of the Matter The property located at the Northwesterly corner of Jefferson and Tamarack is now out of escrow and the new owner, Cortez Development Co. was contacted to determine how soon the old green houses would be demolished from the property. On the 14th day of August, 1972, Mr. Brea of Cortez Development stated that demolition of these structures would be started within two weeks of this date. This work has not been started. The condition and degree of hazard is clearly visible in the attached photographs. This does not include the residence structure at 744 Tamarack Ave. but does include the other structures at this address. Exhibit 1. Photographs 2. Resolution No. 2076 Staff Recommendations That the owner abate the nuisance prior to the 19th day of September or post a bond to cover the cost of demolishing in the amount of $2,440. This Department has a bid for this work. A-B No. Date. City Manager's Recommendation Concur. Council Action 9-5-72 This matter was removed from the Agenda following a report from the Director of Building and Housing that work had commenced on the abatement of the public nuisance by the owner of the property -2-
