--- Statement of the Matter
On September 29, 1972, the City Council passed Resolution No. 2097,
setting a hearing date for a proposed underground utility district
'on Cannon Road from Carlsbad Blvd. to the ATGSF R.R. tracks. The
underground work is to be done by San Diego Gas and Electric and
Pacific Telephone Company, and the cost is to be assessed to the
property owners in the district.
Prior to the City Council establishing said underground district,
firm agreements between the City and the utility companies should
be entered into, in order to establish the actual costs to be
assessed. If the district is unsuccessful, the agreements become
null and void.
The attached contracts have been reviewed by.the City's bond attorney
and are satisfactory in form and content.
The agreement with the San Diego Gas and Electric Company also includes
the installation of ornamental street lights for the entire length of
the project.
