Howev the appointment of (7) seven members of the Board has yet to be accomplished. Also, the Dissolving of the Housing Appeals Board. ' former Board was to comply with the requirements of the then 1967 Housing Code as ad0pte.d by the City of Carlsbad. For your information, the members of this Board were as follows: R. R. Robinson, Developer, Businessman - Oakley Parker, Gen. CI Arthur Brown, Plumbing Contractor - Geo. Meese Jr., Elect John Mc Kaig, Businessman, Layman Each of these men have recently been contacted. The Housing Appeals Board was created by a motion and can be dissolved in the same manner. Council Action 11-8-72 The Council dissolved the Housing Appeals Board by minute motion. OSBURX - DIRECTOR OF BUILDING AND HOUSING OCTOBER 3, 1972 ADVISORY AND APPEALS BOARD Gentlemen: Under the provisions of Ordinance No. /'J po 62<- the City of Carlsbad now has an Advisory and Appeals Board. Board has yet to be accomplishes. Also, the dissolving e ,- of the Housing Appeals Board. This former Board was to Code as adopted by the City of Carlsbad. Of the five, all but Mr. John Mc Kaig are willing to continue to serve on the newly created Advisory and Appeals Board. All of these gentlemen represent their portion of the industry. They are regarded with high esteem and are most knowledgeable of their trade, which is of importance to the other menbers of the Board. ~ .:jc' f >I 1 w '3 2 Appeals Board contin There is one other name that has been recommended to be on the Board, a Mr. Robert Ladwig, Civil Engineer. To round out the Board, it is suggested that someone in the field of Architecture be appointed and a so called layman, Gentlemen, this memo is for your information only. It is not intended or directed toward any individual appointments to the Board.
