WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
received a petition containing in excess of 900 signatures from
citizens connected with St. Patrick's School requesting that Tamarack
8,Avenue traffic be stopped at Adams Street and Jefferson Street, and;
WHEREAS, the Counci 1 believes that traffic on Tamarack is
travelling at an unsafe speed, and;
WHEREAS, the Council believes that stop signs can be used
as effective traffic control devices;
THEREFORE, the Council does hereby resolve that the follow-
ing intersections are hereby designated as four-way stop intersection
and the City Traffic Engineer is directed to install appropriate
signing as authorized in the California Vehicle Code:
1) Tamarack Avenue and Adams Street
2) Tamarack Avenue and Jefferson Street
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held December 5,
1972 by the following vote, to-wit:
